Lemon Car Lawyer in Illinois
As the team at HC Bradley LLC, we understand how frustrating it can be to purchase a vehicle that turns out to be a lemon. You expected reliability and performance, but instead, you’ve been met with constant mechanical issues, repeated repairs, and endless headaches. If you’re in this situation, you need a lemon car lawyer who understands the law, advocates for your rights, and ensures you get the compensation or replacement vehicle you deserve.
What Is a Lemon Car Lawyer?
A lemon car lawyer specializes in handling cases where consumers have purchased defective vehicles that qualify under state lemon laws. These laws are designed to protect consumers who unknowingly buy vehicles with significant defects that impair safety, use, or value. If a manufacturer fails to fix these defects after multiple attempts, a lemon car lawyer helps the consumer pursue compensation, vehicle replacement, or a refund.
At HC Bradley LLC, we focus exclusively on lemon law cases in Illinois, ensuring our clients understand their rights and receive the justice they deserve. Our expertise in this area allows us to take on manufacturers and dealerships that refuse to uphold their obligations.
How Do You Know If You Have a Lemon?
In Illinois, a vehicle may qualify as a lemon if:
It has a substantial defect covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
- The defect occurred within the first 12 months or 12,000 miles of ownership.
- The manufacturer has made at least four unsuccessful attempts to repair the defect.
- The vehicle has been out of service for at least 30 cumulative business days due to repairs.
If your vehicle meets these criteria, you could have a strong lemon law claim. Call HC Bradley LLC today at 630-453-5159 or fill out the form on this page and we will get back to you shortly.
Filing an Illinois Lemon Law Claim with HC Bradley LLC
Filing a lemon law claim can be a complex process, but with our legal team on your side, you won’t have to navigate it alone. Here’s how we make the process simple and stress-free for you:
1. Free Consultation – The first step is to contact us for a free case evaluation. During this consultation, we’ll review your vehicle’s history, repair records, and warranty details to determine if your case qualifies under Illinois lemon law.
2. Gathering Documentation – To build a strong case, we will help you gather essential documents, including:
-
- Your vehicle’s purchase or lease agreement.
- Warranty details.
- Repair invoices and work orders.
- Any correspondence with the manufacturer or dealer.
- Proof of vehicle downtime due to repairs.
3. Manufacturer Notification – Before filing a lawsuit, Illinois lemon law requires consumers to notify the manufacturer of the defect and provide them with an opportunity to fix the issue. We handle this step for you by sending a formal demand letter to the manufacturer, outlining your vehicle’s defects and requesting appropriate compensation.
4. Settlement Negotiations – Manufacturers often try to deny lemon law claims or offer low settlements. We negotiate aggressively on your behalf to ensure you receive a fair resolution, whether it’s a replacement vehicle, a refund, or monetary compensation.
5. Litigation, If Necessary – If the manufacturer refuses to comply, we are fully prepared to take your case to court. Our firm has extensive experience litigating lemon law cases, and we won’t back down until we achieve a favorable outcome for you.
