Working with a Lemon Law Attorney in Indianapolis

Working with a Lemon Law Attorney
in Indianapolis

When you purchase a new or used vehicle, you expect it to be reliable, safe, and built to perform as promised. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Some consumers in Indianapolis find themselves stuck with a vehicle that continuously fails to meet quality and performance standards despite multiple repair attempts. These problematic vehicles are commonly referred to as “lemons.”

If you find yourself in this frustrating situation, it’s important to understand your rights under Indiana’s Lemon Law and why working with a qualified lemon law attorney, like those at HC Bradley LLC, is crucial to the success of your claim.

What Is Indiana’s Lemon Law?

Indiana’s Lemon Law is designed to protect consumers who purchase new vehicles that turn out to be defective and unrepairable after a reasonable number of repair attempts. The law generally covers vehicles purchased in Indiana that have a substantial defect affecting the use, value, or safety of the vehicle within 18 months of delivery or before the vehicle reaches 18,000 miles, whichever comes first.

A vehicle may qualify as a lemon if:

  • The defect substantially impairs the vehicle’s use, value, or safety.
  • The manufacturer or dealer has made at least four unsuccessful attempts to fix the same issue.
  • The vehicle has been out of service for a total of 30 or more business days due to repairs.

If these criteria are met, the consumer may be entitled to a refund or a replacement vehicle. However, navigating the process on your own can be overwhelming, and that’s where a lemon law attorney becomes invaluable.

Why Hire a Lemon Law Lawyer in Indianapolis?

At HC Bradley LLC, we’ve worked with countless clients in Indianapolis and throughout Indiana who felt helpless when facing a stubborn car manufacturer or dealership. Many consumers don’t realize how difficult it can be to file a successful lemon law claim without legal representation. Here are several reasons why hiring a lemon law lawyer is not just helpful, it’s essential.

  1. We Know the Law Inside and Out

Lemon laws are not always straightforward. There are numerous requirements, deadlines, and procedural steps that must be followed to secure a favorable outcome. At HC Bradley LLC, we specialize in Indiana Lemon Law and understand the fine details that often trip up unrepresented consumers. Our experience allows us to guide clients through every stage of the claim process with confidence and accuracy.

  1. We Handle the Paperwork and Deadlines

Filing a lemon law claim involves more than just telling your story. You need to gather extensive documentation, communicate with manufacturers or their legal teams, and possibly prepare for arbitration or court proceedings. Missing a deadline or filing incorrect paperwork can cause a legitimate claim to be dismissed.

Our legal team at HC Bradley LLC ensures that every “i” is dotted and every “t” is crossed. We collect and organize repair orders, service records, vehicle purchase agreements, and correspondence with the manufacturer. We meet all statutory deadlines so you don’t have to worry about your claim being rejected on a technicality.

  1. We Level the Playing Field

Automakers have legal departments and resources designed to protect their interests. When you go up against a manufacturer without an attorney, you’re at a significant disadvantage. They may delay your claim, offer a low settlement, or deny your complaint entirely.

With HC Bradley LLC on your side, you don’t have to face these powerful companies alone. We have the legal skill and negotiation experience necessary to push back against delay tactics and fight for the compensation you deserve.

  1. We Help You Maximize Your Recovery

A lemon law lawyer does more than just file your paperwork. We know how to assess the full extent of your damages, whether that’s the purchase price of the vehicle, additional expenses incurred due to the defect (like rental car fees or towing), or loss of time and convenience.

Our team works hard to secure the maximum remedy allowed under the law, which could include a full refund, a replacement vehicle, or monetary compensation.

  1. We Work on a Fee-Shifting Basis

One of the biggest concerns consumers have when considering hiring a lawyer is cost. Fortunately, Indiana’s Lemon Law includes a fee-shifting provision. This means that if your claim is successful, the manufacturer may be required to pay your attorney’s fees. In most cases, our clients do not pay anything out-of-pocket for our services.

This fee structure allows us to provide aggressive and effective representation without adding financial stress to an already difficult situation.
